Meet Your Optometrist
Lead Optometrist
Dr Steven Vu
BVisSc / MOptom, Deakin University School of Medicine
Dr Vu graduated from Deakin University School of Medicine with a Bachelor of Vision Science and Master of Optometry, completing clinical training at Barwon Health Geelong and the Australian College of Optometry. His commitment to exceptional eyecare is for every patient to leave the room feeling heard, with their own tailored plan.
Having spent much of his life in Melbourne's west, Steven understands the unique needs of this community and is dedicated to providing personalised eye care that reflects local values and lifestyle. His own journey into optometry was driven by living with high myopia from childhood. That experience gave him a deep understanding of the patient side, and shaped how he practices today. It's also part of why he focuses on orthokeratology, a way to slow myopia in children before the prescription climbs.
Steven also focuses on dry eye, where he has extensive clinical experience. He fits standard contact lenses and manages conditions like glaucoma and diabetic eye disease, with each treatment plan tailored to the patient in front of him.
Outside the clinic, you'll find him at the bouldering gym or hunting down somewhere new to eat around the west.
Why patients stay with us.
One Hour. Every Time.
Every appointment is booked in a full one-hour block. Enough time to be thorough and answer your questions before you walk out the door.
Preventative Eye Care
Our approach is built around looking before there's a problem. Every exam screens carefully for the conditions that develop quietly, so anything worth watching is picked up while it's still easily managed.
Built Around You
Dr Vu adjusts each exam to suit your eyes and talks you through what he finds. The plan you leave with is yours.
